Grand Prize Brings Winner to New York City for Event to Help Homeless Animals
NEW YORK, May 3, 2007 – Who says an old dog can’t be taught new tricks? Can your dog fetch the morning paper while walking on his hind legs? Does your mutt sing along to your favorite tunes? If so, your dog may be a “Wonder Woofer.” In the first of two nationwide online video contests to promote the availability of the new RCA Small Wonder EZ201 ultra compact and affordable digital camcorder, RCA Audio/Video is calling for all dog owners to show off their pooch’s talents in its RCA Wonder Woofs contest.
Be Proud of Your Pooch
Honorary “spokesdogs” for the RCA Wonder Woofs contest are Nipper & Chipper, the RCA mascots, who star in an online video that encourages online entries. Between May 1 and June 14 consumers can upload a 30-second video clip of their dog performing its best trick to www.mysmallwonder.com/contest so that friends and family can easily view and write comments about it. The online video that receives the most views and comments will be awarded the grand prize – a weekend trip for two to New York City, including airfare, hotel accommodations, spending money, and passes to the star-studded Broadway Barks annual event to find homes for animals in Manhattan.

The RCA Small Wonder EZ201, with a suggested retail price of $129, offers versatility and unique functionality. With a convenient flip-out display, the EZ201 allows the person shooting the video to be part of the fun. The camcorder offers up to an hour of recording time with its on-board flash memory, which can easily be expanded to up to five hours of recording with the addition of an SD memory card (sold separately) that simply slides into the unit’s memory expansion slot.

Small Wonders in Your Hometown
The second RCA Small Wonder online video contest is a nationwide search for the “Small Wonders of America”. While everyone knows the big wonders of America – from the Statue of Liberty to the St. Louis Arch and Seattle Space Needle, there are thousands of “small wonders” in communities large and small that deserve a little publicity. From July 1 through September 1, consumers can submit their favorite place in America for consideration as an award-winning “Small Wonder.” It might be a local museum off the beaten path, or the birthplace of a famous American that deserves a little recognition. A panel of judges will review the submissions and select the videos that best showcase America’s small wonders. Grand prize will be expense paid trip for four to the Grand Canyon, one of the greatest wonders of America.
